Detlef Zedler (AKA Animal) is the first International member of the Chub Carp Academy.
Animal has been Carp fishing for over 20 years and has worked as a Salesman in a fishing tackle store (Anglershop Specht, Osnabrück) developing products for SS Rod Pods, Bait Boats and Baits for over 18 years.
Animal's favourite waters in Germany are the Canals and Gravel Pits, in Holland, the Twente Canal and in France, Bossard & Crystal Waters.
His favourite methods of Carp fishing include Margin Fishing and fishing using PVA Bags and Sticks.
Some of Animals favourite Products from Chub include the Cyfish Tri-Lite Bivvy and Vantage Framed Carryalls.
Animal boasts a p.b 48lb 2oz Mirror.

Autumn - My Favourite Time of Year!
“After a quick phone call with my mates I decided to spend a week’s fishing in France. We chose the water Crystal Water Fishery in SENS for the Trip and, after 10 hours travelling I walked around the lake in the early morning hours and chose my place for the first few days.
“It was very sunny in the days but with a strong cold east wind and very cold nights! The fishing started very slow with no action in the first 3 days. I saw a few fish jumping on the other site of the lake and I decided to move the next day!
“That night I lost one fish in the snags and decided to move to the other site off the lake for the last 2 days. I changed my tactic from fishing against the island to fishing the open water. It was very weedy and I used my bait boat with Echo Sounder to find clear spots in a deep from around 14 feet of water.
“I changed over to smaller baits as well, Tiger Nut boilies in 16 mm and Black Pellets in 8 & 16mm all from Animal Baits!
"After a night with a few Bream and one fish lost I was able to catch 2 nice fish on the last day! First a 34lb Mirror and finally a new PB Mirror with 48, 2lbs!
"What a great result after a very hart weeks fishing but, as I said, autumn is my favourite time of year!”
